Le Mans

With JR being built upon our passion for cars, we thought it was only right we shared some of what we loved from the Le Mans 100th Anniversary with you.

This first set of photos show some of the action we saw from the end of the Mulsanne straight. The sound of the V8 Nascar was awesome, but the Porsche 911 RSR’s high revving howls were the highlight.

There was something special about the strong scent of petrol (and diesel!) wafting through the atmosphere, mingling with the aromatic essence of croissants.

From Ferraris to Fiats, and Vipers to Vespas, there was a great variety of vehicles on show over the weekend.

Photographed here is a Dodge Viper GTS-R, with a whopping 8.0L V10! It literally shook the ground.

The Ferrari F8 Tributo was also a highlight - this mid-rear-engined sports car represents the highest expression of the Prancing Horse’s classic two-seater berlinetta. It is a car with unique characteristics and, as its name implies, is an homage to the most powerful V8 in Ferrari history.

One of the cleanest cars we saw on the trip was a pearlescent green FL5 Honda Civic built by Type R specialist @dreamautomotive . The attention to detail with upgrades was outstanding, with big AP Racing brakes up front, seated behind their Spirit-R Forged Wheels. It definitely left us wanting some turbo VTEC goodness in our lives.

We also had to get some shots of some classics - a 4.2 E-Type and a stunning Triumph TR-3.

Last but not least, here are some other cool cars we spotted, including the iconic Aston Martin DB5.

Other cars we have to mention are the gorgeous BMW 1M in Valencia Orange, which is completely timeless. Speaking of timeless BMW design, how good does the F80 M3 look in Red??

We’re thoroughly looking forward to the next Le Mans. Until then, we have an exciting year of detailing projects to look forward to.
